Coaching Baseball-Win more with Situation Scrimmages
Watching a minor league baseball game on the Internet last night, I saw a runner on first tag up on a fly ball to shallow left center and then get thrown out at second when the ball was not caught. In this situation, players should tag up only if they intend to advance. Otherwise they take as big a lead as possible in case the ball falls. When coaching baseball you can practice these plays, as shown in the iBook, Practice Baseball to Win, with situation scrimmages.
