Coaching Baseball Throwing
When coaching baseball players to throw, after making sure the players understand the need and feel of a proper grip on the ball, it is important that they begin to see how the whole body is involved. In the chain of parts from the feet, the fingers and wrists play an important role. To get the feel of how they work, isolate the wrist and apply the force with the fingers and wrist directly through the center of the ball so that it spins from 12 to 6 on a clock. The drill in this video is step one in the process of getting all of the available parts involved.
