It is my firm belief that the WARM UP section of the practice should be a time for skill development.
As a consequence we recommend that care be taken to see that the running and throwing utilized to get the body ready for practice, be done with care and precision. For example, the running drills included came from our track coaches sprint program. They will improve running technique as well as get the players warmed up to participate.
The running drills we've included in our WARM-UP phase of the practice came from our track coach, Jon Vochatzer, who was the USA World Games Head coach.
